PHP as a template engine

Believe it or not, PHP is a template engine. It allows you to mix HTML and PHP into a file and makes it very easy for a programmer to create dynamic pages. However, one excuse that I’ve heard from would-be programmers shunning away from PHP is that they don’t like to mix programming code with HTML code in 1 file. They prefer to keep code in 1 file and HTML in separate file.

Twitter hacked

I just finished reading an article on TechCrunch about this. Apparently, Twitter has been hacked by the Iranian Cyber Army. This is a developing story. According to TechCrunch, there is a bit of history between Twitter and Iran. During the Iranian elections, Twitter’s services were used to as a tool in the Iranian election protests. Even Google briefly indexed the hacked page and displayed the information when someone searched for Twitter but it has long since been removed. more…

Scam and phishing emails are no joke. Being a victim of credit card fraud, I can attest that it can be quite unnerving. You start to wonder how they obtained your information, what did you do wrong, how could you prevent it in the future. Well, one thing I’ve learned is that scam emails are all too common and have gotten more and more sophisticated. I have, from time to time, done a double take on these emails. Some of them are really good, and quite authentic.
